Austin/Central Texas

This video is a compilation of sessions that I was a part of from October 2007 - April 2008.  A few pictures from Lake Ray Hubbard have also been thrown in.  None of these pictures are from Lake Fork.  My Lake fork pictures will soon be compiled into another slide show in the near future.

Right click to FULL screen and TURN UP the volume.

THIS VENUE HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED
(As of January 2009)

The Austin area is where the carp and buffalo craze began in Texas.  For Many Texas carpers the Austin area is still their favorite place to angle.

So why would I discontinue service to this venue?

  • The largest buffalo to ever be captured, by any method including bow fishing, from Austin/central Texas, is my 70 lb 8 oz capture.
  • East Texas has produced buffalo much larger including the IGFA Rod & Reel World Record of 82.2 lbs.
  • In east Texas bow fishers, unfortunately, have harvested several other 80 lb specimens, a 92 lb, 97 lb, and a massive 106 lb.
  • Austin/central Texas has been fished by carpers more than any other area of Texas.
  • East Texas has been fished very little by carpers.  The lakes have been thought by many to be inaccessible.  Although the bodies of water are open to the public by boat, the banks are almost all privately owned with homes right on the shores.
  • Out of all of the lakes in east Texas, Lake Fork is the crown jewel.  Please read the Lake Fork section to understand why Lake Fork is such a special body of water.
  • MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL...Lake Fork is the only known water body to produce the, rapid growth patterned, Quasimodo buffalo!
  • There is no doubt that many world record fish lurk in the depths of Lake Fork.  It is only a matter of time before me, or one of my clients, captures a buffalo specimen over 100 lbs.
